MS-111 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES-II

This is in continuation from the previous semester : the aim is to teach the student the advanced statistical techniques to the analyse the research problems. The applications of the forthcoming instruments are designed to help the student in the summer project.

1. Theoretical Probability Distributions. Elements of Binomial, Normal and Poisson Distributions. Application in the managerial problems and analysis. (12 Credits)

II. Multi-Variate Techniques and Applications, Factor Analysis, Multi-Regression and Correlation. Multi-Dimensional Scaling Techniques and its application in real world.

III. Testing of Hypothesis and its procedure, Test of Significance, attributes, variables - Large and small samples (t, F and Z)

IV. Chi Square tests and ANOVA (one ways and two way). Statistical decision theory and decision matrix. Application of software statistical packages for the aforesaid topics. Case studies for all topics.
